Two Briarcliff dentists said Monday they will continue to serve the community even if they're pushed out of their office of nearly three decades to make way for a McDonald's restaurant.
Eisenberg & Bogdanoff Cosmetic & Family Dentistry posted to North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch to say that they're not involved in McDonald's plans to open a location at 2706 Clairmont Road adjacent to Briarcliff Shopping Center.
From their post:
As many of you are aware, McDonalds is trying to open a drive through restaurant at 2706 Clairmont Road where we have maintained our Family and Cosmetic Dentistry Practice since 1983. We want to assure you all that we neither instigated nor knew about this action until 5 weeks ago. We were not part of this process in any way and as tenants in this location for these past 29 years were as surprised as many of you at this development.
Along with our neighbors, we are concerned about this change to the neighborhood we have considered our home. We would like to take this opportunity to let you know that whatever happens in this matter, we will remain nearby and continue our practice serving the residents of this area as we have these past years, whether we remain at this location or another one.
We await the outcome with many of you, and sincerely hope the situation works out the best for all of us!
Briarcliff Shopping Center's has been going through some changes recently. A new QuikTrip gas station and market is poised to open where the old IGA supermarket used to sit.
