Crime has been making a lot of Patch headlines throughout metro Atlanta recently.
This past Saturday, the Dunwoody Police Department responded to 18 calls to investigate residential and commercial burglaries. Also on Saturday, SWAT teams were involved in a standoff with a Sandy Springs man suspected of being involved in a shooting.
A Lithonia restaurant was the site of a recent armed robbery, while Atlanta police continue to look for suspected carjackers along Howell Mill Road.
Atlanta City Councilman Alex Wan's home in Morningside was recently burlgarized, while Decatur Police reports that two cars were stolen from residential driveways earlier this week. And in Tucker, residents on Idlewood Road are pleading with thieves to stop a recent rash of car break-ins.
