The North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area will be the site of one of eight job fairs hosted by Goodwill of North Georgia on Wednesday, Feb. 6, giving job seekers across the region the chance to connect with dozens of employers.
Goodwill will hold the job fair at eight of its career centers. Employers will be on-site at each location recruiting workers for professional, warehouse and retail positions.

“Each of our career centers holds regular job fairs, but this is the first time we’ve combined our efforts to create a single-day impact,” says Elaine Armstrong, director of public relations. In addition to Cartersville, Goodwill has career centers in Athens, Atlanta, Decatur, Duluth, Oakwood, Rome and Woodstock.

The nonprofit, known for its donation centers and stores, uses the money from its donated goods program to fund its career centers and employment services. Goodwill representatives say the facilities have become a resource for more than 30,000 job seekers and thousands of area businesses looking to hire staff.
Goodwill career centers are free and open to the public. They are equipped with computers, résumé-writing tools, local job postings, photocopiers, telephones and other resources. Goodwill also provides recruitment fair space, interview rooms and other services for local employers.
