An old water main broke along Clairmont Road near DeKalb-Peachtree Airport over the weekend, and it could slow traffic during rush hour in the near future.
The pipe burst in the 3900 block of Clairmont Road early Sunday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
From the story:
The break occurred in an old line that was scheduled to be replaced as part of the county’s $1.35 billion capital improvement plan. More than 80 sewer and water upgrades are planned as part of the project over the next five years, Brennan said.
For now that stretch of Clairmont will remain open, but water damage was so extensive that repairs will not happen over night.
