Two South Carolina men said they were robbed outside an Executive Park hotel at gunpoint early Saturday morning, according to DeKalb County police.
The men, 28 and 26 years old, were staying at the Courtyard Marriott hotel at 1236 Executive Park Drive when they walked to their car in the parking lot to get some personal items at about 4:40am, the police report said.
A first suspect approached them and asked one of the men for a cigarette, attempting to make conversation. Two other suspects approached the other man, and the first suspect punched the first man in the chin. A second suspect pointed a rifle in his face and demanded his wallet, the report said.
The second man ran, and the third suspect chased him.
A hotel employee told police that the victims returned to the hotel and told her what happened, but she did not see suspects running toward the street. A responding officer also said both victims were intoxicated.
About $150 in cash, a driver's license and miscellaneous cards were in the first victim's wallet.
The first suspect was described as a black male wearing a gray hat backwards, a white T-shirt and black pants. The second suspect was also a black male wearing a black bandanna, long, dreadlocked hair and black clothing. The third suspect was a black male, unknown clothing.
