Two Oak Grove Elementary students got honorable mention in the Clean Air Campaign's Young Lungs at Work Art Competition, the Champion Newspaper reports.
The students are 7-year-old Eshal Siddiqui for his work, "Clean Air" and six-year-old Payten Shoemake for "Kids Rock to Keep Clean Air."
Emery Walhen, 10, of Kittredge Magnet School for High Achievers won first place prize in the Comic Strip Challenge of the competition for her submission about car pollution. Kittredge also received a $300 donation to its science and arts programs, the Champion Newspaper reports.
