Two men forced their way into an elderly man's North Druid Hills home and held him at gunpoint while they stole a number of items including several firearms Friday afternoon, DeKalb County police said.
The men knocked on the side door of a 78-year-old man's home in the 1500 block of Fama Drive at about 1:15 p.m., the police report said. When the victim opened the door, the suspects forced their way in, and one of them pushed the victim onto the couch and placed a pillow over his face while the other suspect stole several items from the home.
The suspects dragged the man into a back room and tied him up with a cable TV cord. The victim told police he feared for his life and waited in the room silently until he heard the men leave.
Three rifles and a pistol were taken, the report said.
The first suspect was described as a black male about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a red shirt with blue stripes and a red hat. The second suspect, also a black male about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wore and gray shirt and carried a pistol. Both were said to be heavy set and in their 20s.
