District 2 Commissioner Jeff Rader.

Want to find out more about DeKalb County's proposed $12 yearly fee hike for stormwater management?

DeKalb County Commissioner Jeff Rader is co-hosting a community meeting Thursday, May 2 regarding a proposed rate increase to improve and maintain the current storm water utility system in unincorporated DeKalb. This meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Chamblee Library, 4115 Clairmont Road, Chamblee.

The purpose of this meeting is to give the public an opportunity to better understand how they are impacted by our storm water systems and to consider if it makes sense to support an increase in funding. Currently unincorporated DeKalb County residents pay $48 per year, which can be found on your property tax bill. The proposed increase is $12 per year. Representatives from DeKalb County Public Works Department will be providing information and fielding questions.
