Viewers of the film Koran By Heart at Northlake-Barbara Loar Library on May 6 can take part in a discussion afterward led by Imam Plemon T. El-Amin, Imam Emeritus of the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam.
The film is a documentary about Muslim children around the world who compete in Egypt's International Koran Reading Competition.
The program, scheduled from from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., is part of the The Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys series, which is a project of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
