An Emory University student found himself last week in the startling position of knowing one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.
Benjamin Kramer-Roach, 21, said he attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School in Massachusetts with Dzokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old student who has been arrested in connection with the bombings and a violent shootout with police outside Boston early Friday morning, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
From the story:
On Friday, Benjamin Kramer-Roach’s brother called and told him the name of one of the bombing suspects - Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. He immediately thought of his schoolmate, who he remembered being extremely nice.
“It’s very hard to mentally connect my animosity with someone who I knew, especially because I didn’t expect it,” said Kramer-Roach on Friday. “He is my brother’s age and he went to my high school and now the whole city is after him.”
