Whole Foods Market Briarcliff is holding a 5% Day to benefit EarthShare of Georgia. On Wednesday, April 10, 5 percent of the store’s net sales will be donated to this local organization, which works toward the day when our air, land and water are clean, abundant and healthy.
EarthShare of Georgia raises money through employee giving for more than 60 environmental member organizations dedicated to addressing environmental health risks, restoring natural habitats, protecting wildlife, reducing global warming and more.
Customers can help support this organization by shopping on April 10. Whole Foods is also offering a “carbon credit” incentive to encourage customers to stock up for spring. Spend $25 in the garden center (on trees, plants, herbs and more) and receive a free bag of Farmer D organic compost ($6.99 value).
More of the day’s events include:
- 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Raffle Prizes - visit the EarthShare table and enter to win
- 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Kids Eco Arts and Crafts
- 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. In-store tasting of local and eco-friendly products
- 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Garden, Grow, Cook Class – learn what you should be planting now (and how to cook it later)
