No doubt you've seen them, individually, in pairs or gathered in intimidating masses that block traffic.
Runners. They're everywhere. Brightly spandexed or baggy t-shirts and shorts. Multi-colored running shoes or footwear that fits over their toes like a hand in a glove.
Metro Atlanta is one of those cities where running season is year-round. The Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon will put tens of thousands of runners, volunteers and spectators on the streets this weekend, and spring is prime time for 5k and 10k events.
Obviously, running can be a great way to get in shape. But as the joke goes, a lot of people are never going to run unless somebody's chasing them.
